Over the summer we took the Ski Silverthorne Drone with us to Durango, Colorado. There are basically three things that we saw people doing in Durango, CO during the summer.
1.) Mesa Verde. These are the famous cliff dwellings that we hear so much about. This is worth it if you are anywhere near the area. Plan for the whole day to view the cliff dwellings. Bring plenty of water because you’re walking a lot.
2.) Durango Train – Meh, we got a train just down the road in Georgetown (The Georgetown Loop) that has just as spectacular of views. So, we skipped out on this.
3.) Rafting – We skipped this as well because we got rafting like crazy in Silverthorne, Colorado.
One evening we decided to launch the drone from the hotel parking lot and fly it up to about 1250 feet. This was as high as the mountain located across the street from the hotel. As always, the drone sent back a beautiful aerial video that showed the beauty of Durango, CO. I love how the river winds through it. With that said, Durango was nice, but she ain’t got nothing on the beauty and majesty of Silverthorne, CO!
